Lumira remembers your household's life — so we hold ourselves to one standard: be able to explain, in plain English, exactly what happens to your data. Here it is.
Everything you send Lumira travels over TLS and is stored encrypted (AES-256) in our database.
Database row-level security makes one household's data invisible to every other household — enforced by the database itself, not just our app code. Even a bug in our app can't cross that wall.
We make money one way: subscriptions. Your data is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and never used to train AI models. Our AI providers (Google, Anthropic) are bound by API terms that prohibit training on your content.
Export all your data whenever you like. Delete your account permanently — backups included — within 30 days. No retention tricks, no exit interviews. If you leave a household plan, your personal memories come with you.
Our systems are built so no person reads your content in normal operation. We won't pretend "we can't" — an AI assistant must process what it remembers — but access is restricted, logged, and never used for anything except serving you. Honesty over marketing.
Payments run through our payment provider. Card numbers never touch Lumira's servers.
Per-account rate limits and spend ceilings mean a compromised account can't run up damage. Email ingestion only accepts senders you trust.
